Our Mission
At Highways to Hedges Community Outreach, our mission is to impact the lives of our unhoused and disadvantaged neighbors through effective "Street Outreach" efforts. By providing much needed and immediate resources in a compassionate, empathetic atmosphere, we empower individuals and preserve the dignity of those we serve.
Our vision
Our vision is to continually serve as a laison by bridging the gap between the unhoused and under-served in our communities. With meaningful partnerships with likeminded organizations, our goal is to provide a network of care and reduce the number of our unhoused and socially disadvantaged population.

Homelessness an Epidemic: Our communities are in crisis; many people are experiencing homelessness for many different reasons. Highways to Hedges is committed to going out into communities to aid those in need. With our "ground zero" approach, we provide vital resources and offer community agency information to those we serve, all in effort to create a consortium of care.
By contributing to Highways to Hedges Community Outreach, you will directly contribute to:
Helping the homeless stay warm:
Your generosity will help aid us in providing items to keep those in need stay warm during the cold and wintery months. New and gently used coats, boots, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets are always needed for this season, along with socks and undergarments.
Help us feed the hungry:
With your contribution we can continue to provide hot/cold meals, packaged snacks and bottled water at no cost to individuals and families that are hungry and experiencing food insecurity.
Personal Care items: Personal care items help preserve the dignity of those we serve and are vital to their health and well-being. When we provide soap or body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, feminine care products and towels. we meet a need that is paramount.
Empower individuals: "A hand-up not just a handout"
Your giving enables us to provide hope as well as share other vital community support service information, we recognize that individuals need a consortium of care to become successful in overcoming their disparities, by networking with organizations we're able to address the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of those we serve. "It takes a village"
